Marib Governor Major General Sultan al-Arada met in Marib on Monday the visiting joint delegation from United Nations High Commission for Human Rights and office of attorney general and ministry of interior.
During the meeting, the governor welcomed the visiting UN delegation and pointed out the efforts exerted by the local authority to rebuild the legal and security institutions in the framework of maintenance of the law and order and strengthening the security and stability.
The delegation briefed the governor about its mission and the nature of the visit, which came as part of UN Commission’s recent field visits to a number of jails and interviewing of prisoners in different parts of the government-held territory to inspect the human rights situations.
