Deputy Governor of Marib Ali al-Fatimi has called the international community to realize the big dangers threatening Yemeni people in the present and in the future because of mines being planted by Houthi rebel militia and provide support to Yemen for helping it get rid of them.
In a speech he delivered on celebrating the International Mine Awareness Day marking the Forth of April, he confirmed that mines are a war crime and one of Iran-back Houthi militia's catastrophes threatening lives of Yemeni people, pointing out that Yemeni people have today one choice which is to regain the state, security and stability.
The Assistant Director General of Saudi Project for Removing Mines in Yemen "MASAM"Khaled al-Utaibi, for his part, has said the big number of mines planted by Houthi militia during the past three years categorized Yemen the top in terms of mines since the Second World War.
He added that the 32 teams of the project have been able to remove more than 55 thousand mines and explosives with different shapes from five provinces only since launching the project mid of 2018.
