Official statement about the completion of technical procedures to link Marib's branch with Central Bank

An official source in the local authority in Marib governorate confirmed that the meetings held by the governorate leadership with successive governors of the Central Bank of Yemen "CBY" in the interim capital of Aden, most recently with the current governor on 31 May 2019, discussed the completion of the remaining technical procedures for linking the branch with the main center, where the implementation is the responsibility of the CBY leadership through sending its technical team ,so that the local authority will provide all necessary facilities, according to the record.

In a statement to Yemeni News Agency "Saba", the source stated that any targeting of the Governor of the Central Bank at this critical period aims at disrupting the recovery of the national economic system. The source added that Houthi campaigns against governor has revealed a clear harmony between the leaders of the Houthi coup and those who promote such campaigns in good or bad faith, pointing out that the statement of the Governor posted on his page yesterday about the collection of revenues and the re-linking of the bank branch in Marib with the main center was misinterpreted ,according to CBY's Governor himself.

The source stressed that Marib governorate and its leadership have been working, since the coup of the Houthi militias, to preserve the state institutions, particularly the Central Bank and national companies.

The Central Bank Branch also supported the governorates in Regions of Aden ,Sheba and parts of Azal, playing its national role on the directives of His Excellency President of the Republic Marshal Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the government, and that all revenues are transferred to the government account at the bank branch.

The source added that the branch has been still operating according to the Central Bank system, without making any any changes to those procedures in place in all bank's branches in accordance with the law.
