Governor of Marib province Sultan Al-Arradah met Tuesday with the team of the International Committee of Red Crescent (ICRC) headed by Habeeb Ali Mokrid.
Aspects of cooperation between the province local authority and ICRC were touched upon during the meeting.
The head of the ICRC' team briefed the governor on the purposes of the team's visit to Marib province. The idea of opening an Office for the ICRC in the province was key focus of the discussion.
Mokrid also explained humanitarian assistance provided by the ICRC last year included food aids some 4000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) expected to have befitted from.
The governor welcomed the ICRC's team, promising full support by the local authority in the province to help the ICRC establishing its proposed Office in Marib province.
