Thirty four researchers in the governorate of Marib began field visits on Thursday to carry out a field study on the needs of the internal displaced people ‘’IDPs” and the multilateral evaluation carried out by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs in cooperation with local authority in the governorate.
The Deputy Governor of Marib Ali Mohammed al-Fatimi stressed it is important for international organizations to identify the needs of the IDPs and the host community in the province of Marib, which received huge large numbers of people from different provinces in the absence of international organizations during the past years.
He also stressed the importance of the results of this study in the development of international organizations plans for the humanitarian response to the needs for the next year 2019, mentioning that the samples to be included in the study is random and not a comprehensive survey of all displaced people in the province.
