Marib Governor applauds opening HQ for Drug Control in Marib

Marib Governor Major General Sultan al-Arada on Tuesday paid an inspection visit to the headquarters of the General Directorate for Drug Control of the Republic, which has been recently opened in Marib as part of the government's efforts to combat drugs.

 The governor ,accompanied by local and security officials during the visit, applauded the opening of this headquarters in Marib province by the ministry of the interior ,stressing the local authority will provide all possible support and facilities for it in order to perform its functions properly.

Gen. Al-Arada stressed that the fight against drugs is one of the legitimate fronts against Houthi militia who use the drugs to fuel its war against the Yemeni people and destroy the society as well as corrupt the youth.

He pointed out the relationship between Houthi militias gangs ,and drug traffickers, and the role of security and police personnel in several liberated provinces in seizing many drug shipments en route to the coup militia in Sana'a.
