Marib's deputy Governor presides over meeting to discuss women's empowerment

Deputy Governor of Marib province Dr. Abdurabu Miftah presided over, on Tuesday, an extended meeting of female representatives in the executive offices of the local authority, political parties and civil society organizations in Marib.

The meeting devoted to discuss issues related to the status of women in the governorate and ways of empowering them ,strengthening their role and improving their efficiency to be an effective partner in building the future.

During the meeting, Dr. Miftah stressed the local authority gives special attention to the women's sector and prioritizes their issues and needs.

Miftah confirmed the authority seeks in partnership with regional and international organizations to improve the level and status of the women to be an effective partner in the development and building the future.

For her part, Fandah al-Ammari, Director General of the Women's Development Bureau in the governorate, reviewed the strategic vision for the women's sector in the governorate, which included women's needs in the fields of education, health, security, development and capacity building.
