Marib celebrates 56th anniversary of 14th October Revolution

The local authority of Marib province celebrated on Monday the 56th anniversary of glorious 14th October Revolution against Occupation in South Yemen.

In his speech on this occasion, Marib governor, Major General Sultan al-Aradah, confirmed that the 14 October glorious revolution was the culmination of epic and heroic struggle of the people in the south Yemen against the occupation.

"The courageous resistance was engaged in the fight against the colonizer until the great victory had been achieved on October 14 ,1963 ,and continued struggling till all South Yemen was was free of British rule on November 30 ,1967", the Governor said.

"The success of September and October Revolutions marked the birthday of Modern Yemen after the country got rid of the colonialism and tyranny, and this land should have entered a new era of prosperity, stability and construction".

He urged to join efforts and inspire the spirit of the heroes of the September and October revolutions in order to rid Yemen of the new Iran-backed imamate .
