Marib Governor , President of Sheba University kick off the new academic year

The Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, along the President of the University of Sheba Region, Dr. Mohammad Hammoud Al-Qadsi, inaugurated ,on Sunday, the new academic year 2020-2021.

During the inauguration, the governor listened to an explanation from the university’s administrative staff about preparations for the new academic year and the precautions followed in light of the Corona pandemic ,as well as a range of challenges facing the educational process in many areas relating to infrastructure, technical and financial areas, and staff members at the newly-established university that contains six faculties, including the College of Medicine, which opened this year.

They indicated that the colleges contain 33 majors and accommodate 12,800 male and female students.

The governor praised the progress that the university witnessed in various aspects during the past few years , stressing the importance of the university’s role in bringing about a radical change in the governorate and neighboring governorates that are deprived of educational institutions,, in addition to its role in promoting the desired development in the governorate by producing qualified cadres in various specializations and creating a scientific and cultural movement

Governor Al-Arada affirmed that the local authority will continue its support for the university for its development and improving the level of educational attainment and academic qualification, as well as its outputs with the required scientific quality standards .

He pointed out that education is the cornerstone of the desired development and construction for Yemen.
