Marib police seize members of cell linked to terrorist Houthi leaders

The Marib police captured elements of a cell linked with the leaders of the terrorist Houthi militia while plotting to carry out acts aimed at destabilizing the security, stability and public order in the governorate.

A statement issued by the police of Marib governorate that members were seized after a careful monitoring and follow-up since the arrival of some of the cell members from Sana'a ,tracing their movements and activities they were involved in, adding that investigation is still ongoing.

It added that the terrorist Houthi militia resorted to spread misinformation in a bid to cover up its despicable and criminal methods in exploiting Yemeni women and forcing them into serious criminal acts in a way which is inconsistent with the customs and moral values ​​and principles of Yemenis.

The statement stated that rumors the terrorist militia and its leaders are spreading about raids or deportation of Yemeni women outside the country are baseless ,through which the militia aims to achieve political goals by stirring up people's emotions and mobilizing against Marib under false pretexts.

It also confirmed that Marib police is committed to the enforcement of Yemeni and international laws, where it has provided security and social and legal protection for hundreds of thousands of IDPs who have been displaced by the terrorist militia, adding that the security services will continue their national duty and its legal and moral responsibilities to protect citizens of the governorate from those terrorist elements the militia leaders continue sending from time to time.

It said that over the past years the Houthi militia has exploited children and women for committing criminal acts, some of which were publicly uncovered, in addition to its continuous crimes against women and children in other governments.

The statement praised the police vigilance and the cooperation of the society in thwarting Houthi terrorist schemes.
