Marib Governorate Police Command inaugurated on Monday the Family Protection Department and Women's Police building after its rehabilitation, in collaboration with the General Administration for Family Protection, Women's Police at the Ministry of Interior, and the International Penal Reform Organization.
The opening of this building is part of a project, funded by the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, to enhance the capabilities of women's police in Yemen, supporting peace, and facilitating access to justice.
Colonel Najib Al-Nasser, Assistant Director of the Marib's Police for Police Affairs, emphasized the importance of inaugurating the building to strengthen and enhance the role of women's police across all agencies and institutions within the Ministry of
Interior. He underscored the commitment of the governorate police leadership to prioritize attention and care for women's police, ensuring the provision of essential resources to improve organized institutional and police work, ultimately advancing the role of women within the police force.
