Major General Sultan Al-Arada, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, has directed Safer Company to increase the supply of crude oil from the Safer fields in Marib to power generation stations in the temporary capital, Aden. This urgent measure aims to address the ongoing electricity crisis and restore services to citizens as quickly as possible.
In his directive, Al-Aradah urged the Safer Company to expedite the provision of adequate quantities of crude fuel required to restart Aden's power plants and resolve the crisis plaguing the electricity sector due to fuel shortages. He emphasized the need for swift action to alleviate the suffering of citizens and ensure the resumption of normal services.
The PLC VP also highlighted the full understanding of the political leadership and the government regarding the hardships faced by the people of Aden due to the power outages. He acknowledged the significant impact of the crisis on daily life and various vital sectors in the city.
Furthermore, Al-Aradah referenced the directives of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, who has been closely monitoring the situation. The President has emphasized the need for sustainable and long-term solutions to address the electricity crisis in Aden and ensure the consistent provision of services to citizens.
It is worth noting that Aden has been experiencing a severe electricity crisis since Tuesday evening, when power generation plants in the city completely ceased operations due to the depletion of fuel supplies necessary for their operation.
