No single infection with covid-19 has been reported yet in Marib, but the government-held province has already set up a healthcare center to screen suspected covid-19 patients and quarantine and treat the confirmed cases.

The local authority of the eastern Yemen province assigned one million US dollars as a cost for the set-up of the facility and as overhead expenditures to run it for six months.

A pavilion will be dedicated for screen the patients, a second for tackling the confirmed cases and a third for isolating the infected. The 36-bed facility will have four beds in the emergency room, 49 in the inpatient room and 10 in the ICU.

Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah said during the inauguration of the facility that the authorities will set up more covid-19 healthcare centers for the IDPs and open them soon in the IDPs camps.
