Major General Sultan al-Aradah, a member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, officially inaugurated the second phase of a street lighting project in Marib city. This project, funded by the local authority, coincides with the 57th anniversary of Yemen’s National Independence Day on November 30th.
The second phase of the project has illuminated the southern entrance to Marib city and several major and secondary streets. These new lights are highly efficient, ensuring sustainability and reduced energy consumption.
During a visit to the newly lit streets, Al-Aradah emphasized the project's significance in enhancing the city's urban appearance and reflecting the level of infrastructure development and basic services, especially considering the governorate's growing population and urban expansion.
He highlighted that this project is part of broader efforts to promote development, improve services, complete infrastructure projects, and achieve sustainable development in the governorate.
Al-Aradah reaffirmed the commitment to continue implementing the strategic plan aimed at developing services and establishing developmental and service projects in all areas to meet the needs of the community and contribute to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
