Marib Public Health Office launches primary healthcare enhancement project

The Public Health and Population Ministry's branch office in Marib governorate has launched a project to enhance primary health care services and manage malnutrition cases, as implemented by the International War and Disaster Victims Protection Association in eight governorates, and funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, at a cost of USD 5,500,000.

The Deputy Director General of the Health Office for Technical Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Abadi, indicated that 9 medical teams, comprising 63 doctors, male and female health workers, in nine mobile clinics, will go to provide medical services to 202,000 targeted displaced persons and citizens in the districts of Marib, the provincial capital, and Marib Al-Wadi in the governorate, pointing out that the services include medical examination, dispensing of free medicines and referring patients with special cases to government hospitals to complete treatment.
