Major General Sultan al-Arada, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), highlighted the crucial importance of the health sector as a top priority, acknowledging its critical role in the well-being of the population.
This came during a meeting chaired by al-Arada, bringing together key officials from the health sector in Marib Governorate, including Abdulaziz al-Shaddadi, Chairman of Marib General Hospital Authority, Dr. Ahmed al-Abadi, Director of the Public Health and Population Office, Dr. Louay Suleiman, Director of Kira General Hospital, Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Dahmas, Director of the Military Hospital, and Dr. Ali al-Saidi, Director of Mohammad Hayel Hospital. The governor’s deputy, Dr. Abd Rabbuh Muftah, also attended the meeting.
VP al-Arada underscored the special attention given to the health sector by the political leadership and government, affirming the provision of necessary support to address challenges, enhance services, and meet the growing needs of both displaced individuals and the local host community.
He commended the steadfast dedication of health sector members in fulfilling their humanitarian responsibilities and serving society, while also recognizing their sustained efforts and contributions over the years, despite the war, weak infrastructure and limited resources.
