Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Sultan al-Arada, and Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak laid the cornerstone for a new medical faculty at Saba Regional University in Marib Governorate. The project, funded by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), marks a significant step towards strengthening the country’ education and healthcare infrastructure. Following the ceremony, al-Arada praised Saudi Arabia’s substantial development projects and humanitarian efforts in Yemen, citing the Saudi Salam Hospital in Saada as a prime example.

Al-Arada expressed his astonishment at those who compare Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and development efforts in Yemen with Iran’s destructive interference, which includes arming rebel groups with drones, missiles, and weapons, supporting a coup against the legitimate government, and destabilizing the entire region.

In contrast, al-Arada highlighted Saudi Arabia’s generous support for Yemen, including investments in education, infrastructure, and healthcare. He emphasized that these tangible benefits have earned Saudi Arabia the respect and gratitude of the Yemeni people.

Al-Arada also expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their ongoing support to Yemen.

He highlighted the significant contributions of the SDRPY, led by Ambassador Mohammed al-Jaber, which have addressed essential sectors across the country. He noted that today’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Saudi development project in Marib coincided with the 66th anniversary of Yemen’s September 26 Revolution and Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day.

For his part, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, after laying the cornerstone for several Saudi development projects in Marib, expressed his honor at being entrusted by President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, and appreciated the presence of Major General Sultan al-Arada. He emphasized the importance of these projects, which include the medical faculty, the second phase of the Al-Abar road, and a girls' educational complex, all to be implemented by the SDRPY. He noted that these initiatives follow

significant strategic projects within the development partnership between Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The Prime Minister commended Saudi Arabia’s generous support for Yemen’s development and expressed hope for more such essential projects across various regions. He emphasized the strong bond between the Yemeni people and their Saudi brothers, stating that just as they stood together in times of conflict and shared destiny, they will continue to collaborate in rebuilding and development.

He also stressed that stability and development in Yemen are crucial for ensuring stability throughout the region.
