Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Marib Governor, Major General Sultan al-Aradah, met with a delegation from the Hadhramaut Cancer Control Foundation to discuss the foundation's current programs and explore potential expansion into Marib Governorate.
During the meeting, Dr. Abdulqadir Baizid, President of the Hadhramaut Cancer Control Foundation, presented the foundation's work, including its services to cancer patients across Yemen. The delegation outlined plans for establishing the "Amal" unit, a specialized chemotherapy unit at Marib General Hospital, developed in partnership with local authorities and health institutions.
VP al-Aradah emphasized the importance of this initiative and directed the formation of a joint committee involving the local authority, the health sector, the National Cancer Center, and the Hadhramaut Cancer Foundation to coordinate efforts and ensure the successful implementation of the "Amal" unit.
Al-Aradah commended the Hadhramaut Cancer Foundation for its vital humanitarian work and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting all humanitarian organizations in their efforts to serve the Yemeni people. He highlighted the crucial role of civil society organizations in addressing the critical needs of Yemenis across all sectors.
