A military officer, Second Lieutenant Hamoud Qaed Ahmed Hazza Al-Hadi, has been detained and referred to military prosecution on a number of charges, a security source confirmed. The officer, who works in the National Defense Service department of the armed forces, was arrested on Saturday under a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution on August 14, 2025.
He has since been transferred to the Third Military Prosecution for further investigation in accordance with existing military law and regulations. The source emphasized that the case will be handled transparently and within the legal framework, highlighting the authorities' commitment to ensuring justice and protecting rights. The same source also called on all media outlets, civil society organizations, and activists to be accurate and objective in their reporting and to avoid spreading misinformation until the legal proceedings are complete.
