Presidential Leadership Council VP Maj. Gen. Sultan al-Aradah chaired an expanded meeting of senior military leaders in Marib on Saturday, with Chief of Staff and Joint Operations Commander Lt. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz in attendance. Al-Aradah stated that Marib had “broken the Iranian-backed project at the height of its strength,” attributing the outcome to “ the sacrifices of Yemen’s free people.” He reaffirmed that the resolve of the armed forces, security services, and popular resistance cannot be weakened as long as they remain united and committed to national principles. He underscored the need to raise combat readiness, enforce military discipline, and improve coordination between units. He also called for intensified intelligence work, noting that Houthi forces continue to seek opportunities for breakthroughs or territorial gains. Maintaining vigilance, strengthening morale, and ensuring proper attention to personnel were highlighted as essential elements in confronting current threats. Al-Aradah stressed that Yemen requires “every effort, every weapon, and every sincere stance,” emphasizing the importance of cohesion and collective responsibility. He added that the sacrifices of the armed forces stand as evidence of their role as the country’s “steadfast fortress,” defending not only military positions but the dignity of the nation and the future of its people. He noted that the political leadership, represented by President Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, is closely following developments and maintaining continuous communication to reinforce internal unity across all fronts. Al-Aradah said the current circumstances will only increase the determination of loyal forces to continue efforts toward restoring state institutions.
