مدير إعلام مأرب يستهجن اساءات المجلس الانتقالي لمحافظة مأرب

Presidential Leadership Council vice president Maj. Gen. Sultan al-Aradah on Wednesday chaired an expanded meeting of senior security officials in Marib, bringing together deputy ministers of interior, the Marib undersecretry for defense and security, police directors, and heads of security agencies from several governorates currently present in the city. In his remarks, al-Aradah stressed that the state cannot regain its strength without a capable and unified national security apparatus. He praised the efforts of security units across the country in safeguarding stability, protecting state institutions, and confronting threats to public safety. “Under these exceptional circumstances, your national and moral responsibilities grow even greater,” he told the officials. “It is crucial for all of us — and for the security services in particular — to act firmly against any attempts to exploit gaps or weaknesses in order to disturb public order or destabilize the scene.” Al-Aradah warned that the enemy continues to exploit opportunities through sleeper cells, infiltration attempts, media incitement, acts of violence, assassinations, and attacks on critical facilities. Confronting these threats, he said, requires heightened vigilance, seamless coordination between units, rapid decision-making, and strong field presence. He called for increased readiness and intensified efforts to strengthen security, pursue sabotage cells, counter smuggling networks, and combat terrorism in all its forms. Security work, he stressed, must shift from reactive measures to proactive initiatives capable of addressing emerging threats and thwarting plots targeting national stability. Al-Aradah noted that the political leadership — represented by President Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council — is working to support the armed forces and security institutions and create an enabling environment for police and security units to perform their duties effectively. He emphasized the need for stronger coordination between security agencies and military units to ensure rapid response to threats and enhance cooperation between security and intelligence services at both central and local levels. He also highlighted the importance of activating joint operations rooms, improving monitoring systems, and continuously upgrading information-gathering channels. The PLC member reiterated the need for clear strategies, updated technical and intelligence capacities, and ongoing training programs to build a professional and capable security workforce equipped to meet current and future challenges. He also underscored the importance of strengthening public trust in the security services, affirming that their mission is to serve and protect citizens. Al-Aradah encouraged community engagement, the use of public information to support security work, and the promotion of discipline, professionalism, and respect for the rule of law and human rights. Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed Salem Aboud reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing the directives of President al-Alimi and praised al-Aradah’s ongoing efforts to support state institutions and overcome obstacles. He also commended Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Haydan for advancing the ministry’s institutional performance. Aboud said the ministry is moving forward with improving security operations and enhancing the readiness of its units to meet the demands of the current phase.
