Marib Security and Military Committee Holds Extraordinary Meeting to Address National Developments

An extraordinary meeting of the Security and Military Committee of Marib Governorate was held today, chaired by Presidential Leadership Council Vice president Sultan Al-Aradah. The session, convened to discuss the latest developments on the national scene, was attended by Chief of Staff and Joint Operations Commander Lt. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz, Interior Ministry Undersecretary Maj. Gen. Mohammed Salem bin Oboud, and several senior military and security officials. During the meeting, the committee voiced full support for the decisions of President Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, including the declaration of a nationwide state of emergency and the adoption of sovereign measures to enhance security and safeguard national unity and sovereignty amid current developments. The committee praised the extraordinary efforts made by President Al-Alimi over recent weeks to contain escalation and address emerging issues since the beginning of the month. It also commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its sustained and committed support to Yemen and its legitimate leadership, expressing appreciation for its continued assistance to the Yemeni people across different historical phases. In addition, the committee instructed all military and security units to maintain maximum readiness and enhance coordination and integration to ensure rapid response to any emergency. It emphasized the importance of heightened vigilance across all fronts, increased security patrols, and reinforced deployments throughout the governorate to stabilize the situation and preserve public safety. The committee called on all citizens to act with awareness and responsibility, cooperate with military and security units, and adhere to directives issued by the competent authorities, stressing that such cooperation is essential to navigating this exceptional period and maintaining security and stability.
