PLC Vice President, Major General Sultan al-Arada, chaired a meeting of the Celebrations Subcommittee to review the preparations for the upcoming national holidays, including the 61st anniversary of the 26th of September revolution, the 60th anniversary of the 14th of October revolution, and the 30th of November independence day.
Al-Arada praised the efforts of the various committees and the activities they have organized to celebrate the national holidays. He noted the importance of the official and popular celebration of the great Yemeni revolutions, which freed Yemenis from a nightmarish regime that had ruled the country for centuries with oppression and ignorance, resulting in poverty, fear, and isolation from the rest of the world.
The PLC VP also pointed out that the years of war waged by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Republic and the Yemeni people, and the falsity of its slogans, have only made the 26th of September and 14th of October revolutions even greater in the eyes of the current generation.
Gen al-Arada affirmed that the Yemeni people today are more committed than ever to the principles and values of the revolution, and to sacrificing for it, adding that they are also more eager to celebrate national occasions in an unprecedented way, especially those in areas that are still under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia, which has replaced these great occasions and national holidays with sectarian and Iranian activities.
