Vice President Sultan al-Arada of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) emphasized the political leadership's dedication to strengthening the capabilities of the armed and security forces across various domains.
Recognizing their vital role in restoring state institutions and achieving peace in Yemen, al-Arada held a meeting with Deputy Chief of the General Staff Major General Ahmed al-Basr Salem, Inspector General of the Armed Forces Major General Adel al-Qumairi, Head of the General Intelligence Authority Major General Ahmed Mohsen al-Yafei, and several military leaders from the Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, al-Arada was briefed by the Deputy Chief of Staff and the military commanders on the current status of the National Army, covering its readiness, rehabilitation, training, arming operations, development plans, and its preparedness to undertake any tasks assigned to it by the political leadership.
Additionally, VP al-Arada received a report on the situation at the fronts, ongoing escalation, and the persisting attacks by the Houthi militias, which the National Army confronts on various battlefronts.
Al-Arada emphasized the importance of maintaining a consistently high combat readiness to effectively execute the responsibilities entrusted to the armed and security forces, given the relentless obstinacy of the Houthi militias and their escalating aggression, which poses a threat to Yemeni, regional, and international interests while serving the Iranian agenda.
