Yemen's under-16 national team returned home and arrived Marib city on Saturday and were welcomed back as heroes.
The team had played last month in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-16 Boys Championship Qualification 2020 and managed to qualify for the 2020 games which will be held in Bahrain.
Large crowds of fans amassed in the streets of Yemen's key city of Marib hoisting the national flags and expressing pride in the team's performance last month.
Senior Sports Ministry officials attended the fanfare.
