Governor of Marib Maj Gen. Sultan Al-Arada has praised efforts of the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations to Human Rights (NCIAVHR) for boosting human rights in Yemen.
In his meeting with the NCIAVHR's team headed by Mohammad Tilian on Thursday, Governor Al-Arada confirmed keenness of Marib's local authority on taking care of prisons and detentions to meet human rights standards.
He pointed to efforts of the local authority for boosting the security institutions to improve their performance and qualifying their affiliates to improve their legal performance , boosting human rights standards, in addition to establishing new central prisons for including all convicts.
For his part, Tilian thanked Marib's local authority for improving human rights issues, pointing to their successful visits to a number of prisons and detentions and meeting with prisoners for listening to their problems.
