Official funeral held for commander of SSF in Marib

An official funeral was held on Sunday for the brigadier Abdulghani Shaalan, commander of the special security forces (SSF) in Marib, colonel Nawfal al-Hawri, chief of the SSF Operations in Marib, and a number of their comrades who died in the line of duty in Serwah front western Marib ,on Friday.

The funeral took place in Marib and was attended by the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohammad Al-Maqdishi, the Governor of Marib, General Sultan Al-Arada, and the Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry, General Mohammad Salem bin Aboud.

During the funeral, Governor Al-Arada spoke highly of the patriotism and heroism of the martyrs Shaalan and Al-Hawri and their comrades who sacrificed their lives while defending the homeland, revolution and republic and preserving the national gains against Iran-backed aggressive Houthi militia.
