The local authority of Marib governorate has launched a scheme for planting 800 trees in the provincial capital’s schools.
Marib’s Deputy Governor for Administrative Affairs Abdullah al-Bakiri launched the project which will be implemented by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund of the city. The inauguration site, in al-Meethaq School, was the same spot where a Houthi ballistic missile hit last September.
The Deputy Governor said this tree planting drive is a message that “while the terrorist Houthi militia plant landmines and bring death for millions of Yemenis, we in Marib plant trees and bring life and hope.”
