Deputy Governor of Marib Ali al-Fatimi and the Managing Director of Agriculture and Irrigation Eng. Saif Al-Walas inaugurated 168 modern irrigation networks for farmers in the city's suburbs and the district of Wadi.
The project was financed by more than 170,000 dollars from the World Bank . It aims to irrigate 420 hectares of farmland, reduce water and power consumption, while encouraging farmers to use modern irrigation systems.
Al-Walas pointed out that the Agriculture and Irrigation office is seeking to establish a partnership with the World Bank to implement a number of projects during the current year.
He pointed out that the Agriculture office has submitted a number of proposals in the field of agriculture and livestock production to the World Bank to consider funding their implementation.
