Marib security forces arrest Houthi terrorist cell involved in planting explosive devices

The security forces in Marib Governorate have successfully arrested a terrorist cell affiliated with the Houthi militia. This cell was responsible for planting explosive devices in key areas and main roads in Marib. These devices were remotely detonated, posing serious threats to civilians and undermining the stability and security in the Governorate.

 

According to the Marib Governorate Police Security Media, the Special Security Forces managed to capture the members of the terrorist cell while they were planting explosive devices in the Hareeb junction and Marib-Hadramout International highway. The targets of these devices included civilian and military vehicles.

 

The operation to capture these individuals, who were recruited by the Houthi militia with the intention of destabilizing security and disrupting public tranquility, was carried out after careful monitoring and surveillance of their activities.

 

The arrested members of the cell have been interrogated, and their initial confessions have been recorded. These confessions will be broadcasted tonight, revealing the full extent of their terrorist activities as well as the identities of the Houthi leaders involved in their recruitment.

 

According to security sources, the initial confessions of the apprehended cell members disclosed their names: Abdulrazzaq Hassan Ali Dawoud, Mohammed Abdullah Saad Haadi, Ahmed Abdullah Saad Haadi, Abdo Hassan Ali Dawoud, Ateq Mohammed Saad Haadi, Hashem Nasser Ateq al-Amir, Naji Ali Ateq al-Amir, and Hamad Ali Ateq al-Amir.

 

Based on the revelations from the confessions, Ahmed Ali Ateq al-Amir, a Houthi leader, was in charge of the cell. He was responsible for distributing explosive devices to the members after training them on how to plant and remotely detonate them. Another Houthi leader named Majed al-Darraaq supplied the cell with these explosives, ensuring their transportation from Sanaa to Marib.
