Political Parties in Marib Reiterate its Firm Support for Legitimacy, Condemn Houthi Crimes against Civilians

The political parties in Marib reiterated on Thursday its firm support for the legitimate leadership, represented by His Excellency Field Marshal Abdu Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, and for the local authority led by the Governor of the province Major General Sultan Al-Aradah.

In a statement issued in a press conference in Marib, the political parties reaffirmed its strong support for the efforts made by the leadership of the province in all various fields ,including efforts to defend Marib, its security and stability, as well as for the national army fighting against Houthi coup militia who are waging unjust war on Yemenis.

The statement issued by the branches of the political parties in Marib; General People Congress, Islah ,Socialist, Nasserit, Rashad ,and Ba'ath Socialist Parties, appreciated the heroic role of the security forces in maintaining the security and stability in the province.

The statement strongly condemned the atrocities being committed by the Houthi militia by bombing civilians and hospitals with ballistic missiles, killing innocent people,including women and children.

It also expressed its condemnation of the international community and human rights organizations' silence on Houthi heinous crimes against the civilians in Marib, calling them to condemn these crimes. The statement stated the Houthis' recent escalation on Marib proves the reluctance of these militias to achieve peace and reach a political settlement based on the three terms of reference.

The political parties called on all people of Marib to forget the past and stand united against the aggression targeting Marib, its sons and inhabitants.

They also expressed their thanks and appreciation for the role and support of the Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for the Yemeni people, calling them, at the same time, to increase their support to accelerate the elimination of the Iranian project in Yemen.

The parties renewed their rejection of all forms of extremism and terrorism ,supporting the efforts of the local authority and the government in combating them.
