Houthi militia targets Marib city with ballistic missile

Iran-backed Houthi militia renewed its targeting of the densely populated city of Marib by launching a ballistic missile on a residential neighborhood downtown the city ,on Tuesday evening.

Director of Information Ministry's Office in Marib, Awad Al-Huwaiseq, stated that the ballistic missile that fell on a residential neighborhood caused damage to homes,and sparked fear and panic among the civilians.

He noted that the Iranian Houthi militia continues to target civilian objects and terrify children and women inside Marib which hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced people from various governorates.

He called on the United Nations and the international community to stop these criminal practices of Houthi militia who shell the city and civilians using internationally prohibited missiles, adding this is a flagrant violation of international covenants and treaties, and a war crime.

Today's missile attack came a week after targeting a neighborhood with a ballistic missile, injuring two girls, and causing major damage to houses and properties.
