Sultan al-Arada, the Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Governor of Marib, presided over a dedicated meeting on Thursday to assess the current state of education and enhance the educational process in the governorate.
The meeting was attended by the President of Saba University, Dr. Mohammad al-Qudsi, the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Ali al-Abab, the governorate's undersecretaries Ali al-Fatimi and Dr. Abdulrab Muftah, and directors of relevant offices such as education, technical education and vocational training, and the higher institute of health sciences in the governorate.
During the meeting, Al-Arada listened to detailed reports on the state of each educational sector, covering achievements, challenges, and future needs. These reports included assessments of infrastructure, educational cadres, curricula, specializations, output quality, capabilities, operational budgets, and proposals for developing a comprehensive plan for the sector's advancement.
Al-Arada emphasized the paramount importance of education, recognizing it as a national priority and the "factory of minds and competencies." He highlighted the destructive and targeted efforts of the Houthi militia against education since their takeover of Sanaa, particularly their attempts to indoctrinate children with hatred and violence and divide society.
